Welcome to our 6th Grade class! This page will assist every student in finding success. Our classroom is student-directed. At the beginning of the school year, learners will create our class procedures, rules and norms. We will post those here once they have been created. *Preparing for Success I believe that all of my students have the ability to be successful in my classes. Each student is unique. In my class, we will regularly use different forms of assessment to know where your child is on the learning continuum. Then, I will challenge your student at whatever level he/she may be. |
*Blogging
This year, each student will be blogging using KidBlog.org. The students will be setting the criteria for the weekly blogs. Blogs are a powerful way for students to reflect upon what they have learned and find the relevance of what they are learning in their individual lives. The blogs are also an excellent tool for me to assess the actual learning that each individual student is gaining within our class lessons and activities. Through our blogs, students will be able to continue our conversations from class, tie them into their lives, reflect upon their learning, and safely connect with students from all over the world.
Here is where we will list the criteria that the students create the first week of school.
