This year we will be engaged in a year long collaboration with Ms. Harden's class in rural Madagascar. In addition, we will connect with classes, authors and experts to enhance our learning, sharpen our skills, engage in global conversations and authentically apply our learning.

When over 300 second through sixth grade students, from Alabama, Arizona, Hawaii, Indiana, New Hampshire, and Maine work collaboratively to design and create an online journal, amazing things happen. Innovation Day January 2012
While Tweeting about our upcoming Innovation Day with classes from around the world, we decided that we needed to create a wiki that demonstrated what an Innovation Day is. We wanted to show them the possibilities of what can happen when students make all the choices in what they learn, how they learn, and how they share their learning with one another.

-As we were finishing up our projects for this edition, we were reading There's a Boy in the Girls' Bathroom by Louis Sachar. The themes in this book support the themes in this edition. We decided to create a little surprise for our collaborative partners and created a Weebly about the themes in the book.
